I had a really good Christmas and I was at work for 5 1/2 hours of it and on a bus for another 3 hours...  And yet it's the best Christmas I've had in years.

Had a customer call in today to yell about a 15 cent bill increase. I felt like saying "go turn on the news and then tell me that it's worth yelling at me for 15 cents." Worse yet? It was for tax. So since GISHWHES is over and I don't have any more fanfic on my to do list (yes yes, I have a WIP, but that's my sometimes indulgence and I'm not feeling it right now) I decided to pick up another show: Babylon 5.

I'm seeing a lot of posts on Tumblr getting angry at the Sherlock fandom for "ruining" the Hobbit or Star Trek fandoms right now and I'm just like... what?  I'm going to speak from a personal point of view right now, so this might not be applicable to everyone, but still... I have feelings on the matter.

I've gotta admit, the first few minutes were pretty boring.  But then there was Katie Cassidy (Ruby 1.0) and I decided to tough it out.  But then the shipwreck happened and I was all in.

I finished my Dean/Cas Big Bang rewrite.  It's around 24, 600 words.  I want my betas to read the last few chapters and a prologue I just wrote today so I might tweak some things, but other than that, this fic is solid and complete.

Now I just wait until October 12th when I get to post it.

We arrived at the pick up location and we were the first ones there.  A few seconds later we were joined by two girls from Tumblr who we quickly discovered were Destiel fans (one of their screen names is GayPurgatorySex so... The first thing we did on our first con day was meet up a couple of people from the pacific_slash comm (drop me a line and I WILL friend you back!)  We also checked out the vendor area before heading down to the panel area.  While we were waiting for the meet up we ran across these incredibly hot amazing Dean/Cas cosplayers.
